The building of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is not only a historico-architectural monument of Ukraine´s capital, but also a symbol of our statehood and democracy.
The place where sittings of the Ukrainian Parliament have been held since 1939, the building is a witness of the most memorable historical events of our country.
Archival documents and photographs displayed at the exhibition present the stages of a 70-year long existence of the building since its being designed by architect V.Zabolotny till its reconstruction in 2004.
Certain exhibits are available at the web-page of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in the section "News". Some of them are exhibited for the first time.
The exhibition was organized by the Information Department of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariate and the State Committee of Archives of Ukraine with the participation of the State V.H.Zabolotny Scientific Architectural-Construction Library, memorial museum of V.H.Zabolotny in Pereyaslav-Khmelnytsky and the National Reserve "Sofia Kyivska".
